The construction of the 26-kilometer highway section between Suplacu de Barcău and Chiribiș is over 90% complete, with traffic expected to open on December 1. Secretary of State Horațiu Cosma announced that the final wear layer has been laid on 20 kilometers. The focus is now on finishing touches near Suplacu de Barcău and the 1.8-kilometer viaduct. Cosma emphasized the importance of inaugurating the highway on Romania's National Day, marking the end of a two-decade wait for this project, which has faced numerous challenges.
