Autostrada începută de Adrian Năstase se va deschide după 23 de ani. A costat deja câteva miliarde $ • Newsweek România

A section of the Transylvania Highway, initiated by Adrian Năstase, is set to open in November 2026 after 23 years of delays and significant costs. The original contract with Bechtel was signed in 2003 but was terminated in 2013 due to incomplete work. Currently, only 20% of the project was finished at the time of termination. The new contractor, Erbașu, is expected to complete the remaining 26.35 kilometers, with some delays noted in the construction pace. Despite the setbacks, the opening of this highway segment is anticipated to alleviate long-standing infrastructure issues in the region.
