Autostrada în carouri roșii, soluția inedită găsită de inginerii indieni ca să-i facă pe șoferi să reducă viteza. Care e motivul
India has launched a unique highway project aimed at protecting wildlife, particularly tigers, by implementing a red surface that encourages drivers to slow down. This initiative, overseen by the National Highways Authority, spans 11.96 kilometers through ecologically sensitive areas, including the Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve. The red thermoplastic surface is designed to create vibrations and visual cues that naturally prompt speed reduction without the need for signs or enforcement. Additionally, the highway features 25 animal underpasses and fencing to guide wildlife safely across. Early reports indicate a decrease in wildlife-related accidents, highlighting the project's effectiveness in safeguarding both animals and drivers.
