During his working visit to Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea sought EU support for infrastructure projects connecting Moldova to European transport networks. Key discussions included the construction of the Ungheni-Chisinau railway and the Iasi-Ungheni-Chisinau highway, with requests for funding and prioritization from the EU. Bolea also addressed the liberalized road transport regime between Moldova and the EU, advocating for early discussions on its extension. Progress in aligning Moldova's transport legislation with EU standards was highlighted, with 98 normative acts in advanced stages. The visit included meetings with various EU officials to discuss transport infrastructure and cooperation with Ukraine.
