Autostrada din India desenată cu carouri roșii. Cum îi determină asfaltul pe șoferi să încetinească
Indian authorities have implemented a unique safety model on an 11.96-kilometer highway section, featuring red checkered markings and 25 underground tunnels for wildlife. This initiative aims to reduce road accidents involving animals by alerting drivers to slow down in sensitive ecological areas. The project, part of the NH-45 highway, includes protective fences and monitoring cameras to ensure safe animal crossings. Inspired by similar measures in Dubai, the approach seeks to enhance road safety without altering the road structure. The effectiveness of this model could serve as a reference for similar initiatives in Romania's mountainous regions.
