The A8 highway project in Romania is advancing with a new feasibility study for a segment in Moldova, connecting Ungheni to Chișinău. This segment is crucial for establishing a fast road link to Odesa, Ukraine. The Moldovan authorities have announced a tender for the feasibility study, which will include traffic studies and environmental assessments. The estimated contract value is approximately 87.88 million Moldovan lei, funded by the Road Fund. Companies can submit bids until September 21, 2026. The A8 project aims to enhance regional connectivity, with construction expected to begin soon.
