The Brașov-Făgăraș highway project has reached the investment value approval stage by the Romanian government, following public consultations. The estimated investment is 9.35 billion lei, funded by European funds and the state budget. This highway will enhance national and regional connectivity, linking Brașov and Făgăraș with Sibiu. The project includes a 49.75 km route with 46 bridges and tunnels, and is expected to take 36 months to complete. A key junction will be established at Șercaia, connecting with major national roads and facilitating traffic flow.
