The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has initiated public debate on the technical-economic indicators for the Brașov-Făgăraș Highway, which will span nearly 50 kilometers and cost up to 8 billion lei. This investment aims to enhance regional connectivity, improve traffic flow, and reduce pollution. The project includes two sections and plans for 52 bridges and viaducts. The total project value is estimated at 9.35 billion lei, with a construction duration of 36 months. The feasibility study contract was signed in 2021.
