Autostrada Brașov – Făgăraș e gata pentru licitația de construcție / Proiectul are o întârziere de peste trei ani / Autostrada Sibiu - Făgăraș va fi dată în folosință până în noiembrie 2028

The Brașov – Făgăraș highway project has moved past bureaucratic hurdles and is set for construction bidding. The government has secured necessary environmental approvals, although the project faced over three years of delays due to feasibility studies. Spanning 49.3 kilometers, the highway will feature three interchanges and various structures to facilitate wildlife movement. Initially part of the Transylvania Highway, it is now included in the A13 project. The first phase, connecting Sibiu and Făgăraș, is underway with construction divided into four lots, all awarded to a Turkish company. Completion dates for the Brașov – Făgăraș section will be determined post-bidding, while the Sibiu – Făgăraș lots are expected to open between late 2027 and late 2028, with potential for earlier completion.
