The Ministry of Transport plans to issue a construction permit for a section of the A3 Transylvania Highway by the end of the year. This section includes Romania's longest highway tunnel, the Meseș Tunnel, and significant infrastructure investments. The project is currently in the detailed design phase, with extensive geotechnical studies underway to ensure safety and stability. The construction contract, valued at 6.62 billion lei, was signed with Makyol - Ozaltin, and the completion deadline is set for 78 months.
