Over 80% of the infrastructure for the TBM launch on section 3 of the Sibiu – Pitești highway is completed, according to DRDP Craiova. The preparations for the assembly of the tunnel boring machine for the Poiana Tunnel are progressing as planned. The construction of the necessary infrastructure and the launch platform for the TBM is over 80% finished. The assembly of the machine's components is scheduled to begin next month, marking a significant step in the excavation of the longest tunnel on this section. The Poiana Tunnel will be 1,780 meters long and will utilize modern TBM technology for controlled excavation.
