In July 2026, the number of building permits for residential buildings decreased by 1.7% from June and 20.8% from July 2025, totaling 2,909 permits. For the first seven months of 2026, 18,848 permits were issued, marking an 11.6% decline compared to the same period in 2025. The total authorized area for residential buildings also dropped significantly, with 67.9% of permits issued for rural areas. In contrast, non-residential building permits increased by 3.6% from June 2026. The overall decline in residential permits signals a potential slowdown in the construction sector, which could impact economic activity in the coming months.
