Autorităţile turce au arestat un suspect cheie în dublul atentat comis în 2013 soldat cu 53 de morţi

Turkish authorities have arrested a key suspect in a 2013 double bombing near the Syrian border that killed 53 people. Omar al-Khatib, wanted by Interpol, allegedly coordinated the attack with Syrian intelligence officials. He was apprehended by Turkey's MIT while attempting to flee to Europe by sea. The bombing in Reyhanli was the deadliest linked to the Syrian civil war, which began in 2011. Turkey accused extremist groups supported by the Syrian government, a claim denied by Damascus. Since then, Turkey has supported Syrian rebels and hosted millions of refugees fleeing the conflict.
