Autorităţile recomandă oamenilor din Timişoara să nu deschidă ferestrele din cauza fumului din Serbia
Thick smoke from wildfires in Serbia has enveloped Timișoara for the second consecutive day, prompting health authorities to advise residents to keep windows closed and limit outdoor activities. The Timiș Public Health Directorate warned that the smoke could worsen respiratory symptoms, especially for vulnerable individuals. They recommended minimizing travel and outdoor activities, particularly for the elderly and children. Firefighters confirmed no local fires but noted that the smoke likely originated from extensive wildfires in Serbia, where thousands of hectares have burned. Serbia has requested assistance from Russia to combat these fires due to a lack of available EU resources.
