Autoritățile din Ungaria au amendat o mare companie petrochimică pentru încălcări ale normelor de siguranță

Hungarian authorities fined MOL Petrochemicals for safety violations linked to a May explosion at a chemical plant that resulted in one death and several injuries. The company was ordered to pay 38 million forints due to inadequate safety procedures at its Tiszaújváros facility. The explosion occurred during a post-maintenance restart of the Olefin-1 unit, which processes hydrocarbons for plastic production. Four workers were seriously injured, and seven others sustained minor injuries. Authorities noted that the affected areas lacked proper safety equipment to detect hazardous conditions and ensure safe operation shutdowns. MOL Petrochemicals has been instructed to improve safety systems and conduct regular maintenance.
