The National Institute of Hydrology predicts an increase in the Danube's flow rate in Romania, from 1,300 to 1,550 cubic meters per second by August 29. However, this level remains significantly below the normal for this period. The Energy Ministry announced that the nuclear power plant will not resume operations until the end of August. Currently, the Danube at Baziaș has a flow rate three times lower than the August average. The forecast indicates a gradual rise in flow after three stable days. Meanwhile, additional water is being released from the Olt River to support cooling at the Cernavodă plant, with Hydroelectrica providing an extra 50 cubic meters per second for five days as an emergency measure.
