Autoritatea Electorală Permanentă, condusă de fostul lider PSD Adrian Țuțuianu, vrea schimbări la vot: renunţarea la ştampile, autocolante, buletine-broşură • Știri Naționale Biz Brasov

The Permanent Electoral Authority in Romania plans significant changes to the voting process, including eliminating stamps, stickers, and bulky ballots. President Adrian Ţuţuianu emphasized the need for modernization, proposing smart ballot boxes that can scan votes. A pilot project will test new technologies this fall. The introduction of electronic identity cards necessitates the removal of traditional stickers on ballots. Additionally, the authority aims to simplify ballots, potentially reducing them to a single page to streamline the voting and counting process, based on analyses from 22 EU member states.
