AUR has proposed a bill to reintroduce a 9% VAT on the purchase of the first home, increasing the maximum value to 750,000 lei. The measure targets individuals buying alone or with others, with a maximum area of 120 square meters. AUR argues that the change is necessary due to rising real estate prices and aims to support young families in acquiring their first home. The initiative is currently in the parliamentary procedure and requires approval to take effect.
