AUR propune limitarea mandatelor pentru șefii instituțiilor publice

The Alliance for the Union of Romanians proposes a legislative project to limit the duration and number of mandates for leaders of key public institutions in Romania. This initiative aims to reduce the risk of excessive power concentration and enhance transparency and citizen trust in state institutions. The project suggests that directors of various intelligence and security services should serve a maximum of two five-year terms. Senator Nicolae Vlahu emphasizes the need for these limits to prevent the formation of influence circles, especially in sensitive areas. The proposal also includes similar restrictions for other important institutions, addressing concerns about independence and potential conflicts of interest.
