AUR propune limitarea mandatelor pentru șefii instituțiilor publice
The Alliance for the Union of Romanians proposes a legislative project to limit the duration and number of mandates for leaders of key public institutions in Romania. This initiative aims to reduce the risk of excessive power concentration and enhance transparency and citizen trust in state institutions. The proposal includes a five-year term with a maximum of two mandates for directors of various intelligence and security services. Senator Nicolae Vlahu emphasizes the need for these limits to prevent the formation of influence circles, especially in sensitive areas. The initiative also targets other institutions like the National Bank and the National Audiovisual Council, aiming to address potential conflicts of interest and ensure institutional independence.
