AUR își arată susținerea față de Călin Georgescu, după ce a fost ridicat de DIICOT: Nu ne-am dezis și nu ne vom dezice

The Alliance for the Union of Romanians expressed support for Călin Georgescu, a former presidential candidate arrested by DIICOT. AUR parliamentarians emphasized the presumption of innocence, asserting that Georgescu will not be convicted. Deputy Ștefăniță Avrămescu stated that the party will not distance itself from Georgescu, regardless of the accusations. Georgescu is involved in a complex criminal case concerning organized crime and fraud, allegedly having formed a criminal group with two others to obtain unjust financial benefits. The total damage is estimated at over 1.1 million euros.
