AUR compară desemnarea lui Luca Niculescu cu practicile lui Carol al II-lea. Peiu acuză riscul unui „mandat de autoritate personală”

Petrișor Peiu criticized President Nicușor Dan's decision to appoint Luca Niculescu as prime minister, arguing it reflects a trend towards personal authority. He compared this situation to King Carol II's interwar practices and stated that AUR will not support the new government. Peiu claimed that discussions with the president were not genuine consultations and rejected accusations that AUR threatens Romania's financial stability or Euro-Atlantic orientation. He emphasized AUR's commitment to existing treaties and criticized the president's role in determining parliamentary majorities. Peiu also mentioned the possibility of a parliamentary majority for early elections, but ruled out supporting Niculescu's government.
