Petrișor Peiu, leader of AUR senators, criticizes the Ministry of Energy for the prolonged evaluation of a single bid for the Turceni power plant, highlighting administrative incompetence amid an energy crisis. He points out that the bidding process has been stalled since January 2026, following five years of unsuccessful tenders. The only bid came from Berdia SRL, a construction company with limited financial history, supported by the Chinese state-owned Dongfang Electric. Peiu holds the current government accountable for the delays and inefficiencies in managing the energy sector.
