AUR a depus în Parlament proiectul care limitează mandatele șefilor SRI, SIE, SPP, BNR și ale conducerilor altor instituții publice

AUR has proposed a bill in Parliament to limit the terms of leaders in intelligence services and other public institutions, aiming to prevent excessive power concentration. The bill suggests a maximum of two five-year terms for directors of various agencies, including SRI and SIE. Senator Nicolae Vlahu emphasizes the need for leadership rotation to ensure fresh perspectives. The initiative also seeks to impose similar term limits on the leadership of the National Bank of Romania and other regulatory bodies. AUR argues that long tenures in key positions can undermine institutional independence and lead to conflicts of interest.
