Over 2.8 million Audi and Volkswagen vehicles are being recalled globally due to a potential steering system issue. A bolt securing the steering system may corrode and break under certain conditions, risking loss of steering control and increasing accident likelihood. Affected models include Audi Q3 and various Volkswagen models produced between 2013 and 2024. The recall affects approximately 2.16 million Volkswagen and over 696,000 Audi vehicles worldwide, with significant numbers in Germany. Audi assures that repairs will be free and take about an hour, while no related accidents have been reported so far.
