French retailer Auchan has invested €5.5 million in renovating its hypermarket in Drumul Taberei, completing the project in May. The store now features full digitalization and serves as a pilot for testing new concepts. Auchan plans to remodel more stores over the next 4-5 years and is set to open two additional locations by the end of the year. The renovation costs approximately €500-600 per square meter, and the new stores will incorporate elements from the Drumul Taberei concept.
