Two British women died in a car accident in Romania while transporting rescued dogs to France. The incident occurred on DN6 near Vălișoara, resulting in the death of eight dogs. Rachael Harvey-Purkiss and Allison Condon were part of the Homeward Bound organization. The accident involved multiple vehicles, with the British minibus reportedly crossing into oncoming traffic and colliding with a Romanian truck. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver sustained injuries. The surviving dogs were taken in by a local rescue organization.
