The rehabilitation of Republic Street in Oradea is nearing completion, with plans to finish within two weeks. The contractor aims to finalize the paving at the intersection with Roman Ciorogariu and the installation of fountains by October 1, ahead of the university year. The project, costing 12.4 million lei, includes replacing the old pavement, underground cabling, and modernizing public lighting. The vice mayor confirmed that major works are done, and the focus is now on final touches to ease traffic congestion in the area. The design pays homage to a 1970s model by architect Szabó Arnold, featuring curved lines in the pavement.
