The Bucharest City Hall has started safety works on a building affected by an explosion in the Rahova neighborhood. Initial support pillars have been installed, and workers are equipped with body cameras to monitor the process. The municipality confirmed that all necessary administrative and technical obligations were completed on time, allowing the work to commence. The explosion occurred on October 17, 2025, resulting in three fatalities and 15 injuries. Following the incident, three individuals were detained during investigations. The city has provided temporary housing for evacuated residents, spending around 115,000 euros for the rent of 43 families.
