Atenție la apelurile false în numele BNR

Three Ukrainian citizens were arrested in Bucharest for a fraud scheme involving fake calls from supposed representatives of the National Bank of Romania and other institutions. Victims were misled into withdrawing money and handing it over to accomplices. The total reported loss exceeds 90,000 lei, with one victim losing 30,000 lei and another 61,540 lei. The suspects were caught in the act while receiving money from a victim. Prosecutors have initiated legal action against them for fraud and forgery. Authorities warn the public to be cautious of such scams and report suspicious calls to the police.
