This method bypasses traditional security measures, allowing unauthorized access to victims' accounts. The Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate reported a significant increase in such attacks, with 344 entities targeted across five countries. Tools like EvilTokens facilitate these phishing attempts, which have evolved from espionage tactics to widespread fraud. Microsoft noted that AI-generated phishing messages have a higher success rate, with 54% of recipients clicking on malicious links.
