On Tuesday, a student attacked several individuals at a school in northern Slovakia, resulting in the death of a 61-year-old teacher and injuries to two others, including a child. The incident occurred in Staškov, near the Czech border. Emergency services reported that the child is in critical condition, while a 44-year-old woman was also hospitalized with stab wounds. The attacker, an eighth-grade student, reportedly used a sharp object against teachers and classmates. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed deep sadness over the tragic event, emphasizing the need for schools to be safe environments. Authorities confirmed that the situation is under control and there is no broader threat.
