The company suspects North Korean hackers may be involved, as indicated by IP addresses linked to known hacker groups. Despite the breach, Bitget claims it can fully cover the losses with its User Protection Fund, which exceeds $464 million. The attack compromised a critical backend system, allowing the attacker to falsify transfer information. Withdrawals have been temporarily suspended while the company strengthens its systems, but deposits and trading continue.
