Eight people were injured in Sochi, Russia, due to marine drone attacks, causing damage to the Primorskaia embankment and beach infrastructure. An emergency response center reported a fire following the incident, with five victims hospitalized and three treated on-site. Ukraine has been using aerial drones to target Russian infrastructure, while marine drone attacks are less common. Sochi previously hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics shortly after Russia's annexation of Crimea, and the large-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.
