The National Administration of Penitentiaries (ANP) suffered a ransomware cyber attack affecting its workstations and servers, leading to temporary service suspensions. IT specialists are working to mitigate the impact and restore system functionality. The incident has been reported to the National Cyber Security Directorate, and a complaint will be filed with DIICOT. Some services, including web access and phone lines for inmates, are currently halted, while alternatives for maintaining contact with families are being sought. Court appearances will proceed as scheduled, with future sessions conducted via videoconference.
