Astronomii susțin că au identificat o stea de culoare verde
Astronomers have discovered a white dwarf star that appears green to the human eye, marking a significant finding in stellar research. This star's color results from unique physical phenomena in its outer layers, influenced by helium and other elements. The study, published in RASTI, highlights how the composition of white dwarfs can reveal insights into past planetary systems. Researchers analyzed 151 known white dwarfs within 65 light-years of Earth, identifying key elements like calcium, sodium, and lithium in the green star. This research bridges the gap between distant cosmic objects and human experience, offering a new perspective on stellar classification and future studies.
