Astronomii cred că au elucidat misterul din spatele tabloului „Noaptea înstelată” de Van Gogh

Astronomers suggest that Van Gogh's "Starry Night" may depict a real night sky from July 22, 1889, rather than purely imaginative elements. Researchers from South Korea used another of Van Gogh's sketches to locate the view from the asylum where he painted. They simulated the sky above the area, revealing the positions of the moon and Venus, which align with the painting's features. However, the painting was created in mid-June, raising questions about its timeline, as the moon's phase and star visibility differ from that date. This study offers new insights into the connection between art and astronomy.
