Astronomii au identificat, în premieră, o stea verde: Resturile unor planete i-au schimbat culoarea

Astronomers have discovered a green star, a white dwarf named WD J1330+6435, located 280 light-years away. Its unique color results from the absorption of planetary debris, enriching its surface with elements like sodium. This process alters the star's light emission, giving it a greenish-yellow hue. The study highlights how white dwarfs can exhibit diverse colors based on their chemical composition. Another white dwarf, WD J1011+2845, was found to have a pinkish hue due to carbon. The findings reveal the complexity of stellar colors and challenge previous assumptions about star appearances.
