Astronomii au detectat un semnal radio misterios care a călătorit 10.000.000.000 de ani până la Pământ
Astronomers have detected a mysterious radio signal that traveled over 10 billion years to Earth, originating from a distant galaxy. This signal, known as FRB 20240304B, is the most distant fast radio burst recorded, occurring when the universe was only about 3 billion years old. The MeerKAT telescope in South Africa captured this intense burst, which emitted as much energy in milliseconds as the Sun does in months. Researchers speculate about the origins of these bursts, with theories suggesting they may come from magnetars or young galaxies with low metallicity. The findings were published in the journal Science.
