Astronomii au descoperit prima stea verde cunoscută din univers, chiar în Calea Lactee
Astronomers have discovered the first known green star, a white dwarf named WD J1330+6435, located in the Milky Way. This star has developed a greenish hue after consuming rocky remnants from former orbiting planets. The color of stars typically depends on their temperature, but this white dwarf's unique chemical changes have resulted in its rare coloration. The discovery was part of a project assessing the colors of white dwarfs as perceived by the human eye. Additionally, researchers found a pinkish star, WD J1011+2845, which exhibits a reddish hue due to carbon from its interior. This research highlights the diverse color spectrum of white dwarfs based on their atmospheric composition.
