Astronomii au descoperit o „planetă phoenix” într-un sistem marcat de un cataclism cosmic
Astronomers have discovered a "phoenix planet" formed from the remnants of a dying star, orbiting a white dwarf. This exoplanet, classified as a second-generation planet, is believed to have originated from material expelled during the star's death throes. It is located about 250 light-years from Earth and is a gas giant, slightly more massive than Jupiter. The intense radiation from the white dwarf is causing the planet's atmosphere to evaporate. Researchers used data from various space telescopes and aim to confirm their findings with the James Webb Space Telescope. While this planet is inhospitable, the potential for rocky second-generation planets exists in the future.
