FC Sion plans to build a revolutionary stadium called "Cervin Coliseum," featuring a roller coaster, hotel, and event facilities, costing around £420 million. The project aims to attract visitors year-round, not just during football matches. Christian Constantin, the club's owner and architect, envisions a multifunctional arena that enhances local tourism and entertainment. The new stadium will have a capacity of 15,000 to 21,000 for football, expandable to 33,000 for concerts. While the current Stade de Tourbillon will remain in use during construction, the new venue is still awaiting necessary approvals, with completion expected between 2027 and 2033.
