Aruncătorul de greutate Rareș Toader a ocupat locul 5 la CE de atletism

Andrei Rareș Toader finished fifth in the shot put final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, achieving a distance of 20.80 meters. He had qualified in tenth place with 19.76 meters. The competition was won by Italy's Leonardo Fabbri with 22.31 meters. Toader, a former indoor European champion, holds the national record of 21.27 meters. He began athletics at age 11, inspired by his grandfather, and has a passion for football and fishing. Other Romanian athletes also competed, with mixed results, including Andreea Taloș qualifying for the triple jump final and Mihai Dringo advancing in the 400 meters. Romania has a total of 12 athletes participating in the championships.
