Spain is deploying F-18 fighter jets, anti-drone helicopters, and 200 troops to Romania as part of NATO's eastern defense strategy. This includes seven F-18s, three anti-drone helicopters, and a refueling aircraft, enhancing Romania's ability to counter aerial threats. The troops will be stationed at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, working alongside existing radar and defense systems. Additionally, NATO is adjusting deployments in Estonia and Lithuania, with Turkey taking over air policing in Estonia and Italy assuming air defense responsibilities in Lithuania.
