Restoration works at the Third Gate of Alba Carolina Fortress are set to be completed and received by the Alba Iulia City Hall in early November 2026. The Third Gate, a significant historical monument built in the 18th century, has been covered during the 2026 tourist season but is expected to be unveiled soon, coinciding with the December 1 celebrations. Previous restoration efforts have been documented since the 1970s, with significant work completed in 2009.
