The Romanian SMEs propose a national program called "SME Resilient Energy" to provide funding up to €500,000 for energy efficiency investments. The initiative aims to address rising energy costs and enhance energy independence for small and medium enterprises. The program will include three funding categories, focusing on renewable energy and technological upgrades. The most significant funding will target the production sector, ensuring competitive production costs. The president of the Bucharest-Ilfov SMEs highlighted the vulnerability of smaller enterprises to energy price increases and criticized the challenges in accessing energy community funding. Discussions with the Ministry of Energy are set to begin next week to advance the proposal.
