Motorcyclists will now be allowed to use bus lanes and filter through stopped vehicles at traffic lights under new regulations in Romania. The "Motorcyclists' Law" aims to improve traffic flow and includes provisions for mopeds and bicycles. Motorcycles and mopeds can access bus lanes under specific conditions set by road administrators. Filtering past stopped vehicles is permitted at a maximum speed of 20 km/h, provided it does not obstruct other traffic. The law also mandates designated parking spaces for two-wheeled vehicles and introduces safety measures, including a three-meter safety zone at traffic lights. The government has 60 days to adjust the traffic code accordingly. Proponents argue these changes will benefit all road users by reducing congestion.
