Public transport fares in Cluj have increased, affecting both bus and taxi services. Bus tickets between Florești and Cluj-Napoca have risen by 25%, now costing 5 or 7 lei. Local authorities justified the hike due to rising costs and the lack of increases since 2018. Taxi fares are also set to rise, with a proposal to increase maximum rates to 4.6 lei per kilometer during the day and 5 lei at night. These changes come as a response to the increasing fuel prices and budget constraints.
