Romanians nearing retirement seek to understand their pension amounts based on years of work. The reference point value (VPR) will be 81 lei, meaning pensions will vary even among individuals with the same contribution years. The formula for calculating pensions involves total points accumulated multiplied by the VPR. For 15 years of work, an estimated pension would be 1,215 lei; for 25 years, it would be 2,025 lei; and for 35 years, it could reach 3,341.25 lei, factoring in additional stability points for longer contributions. Individuals are encouraged to check their contribution history to estimate their future pensions accurately.
