On November 1, 2026, Metropolitan Laurențiu emphasized the importance of using material wealth for helping others during a sermon in Sibiu. He discussed the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, highlighting that wealth itself is not evil, but how it is used can be. He encouraged the faithful to cultivate virtues and support others through kind words, preparing for eternal life. The service included participation from theology faculty and a choir, with many attendees receiving Holy Communion and blessings from the Metropolitan.
